Egypt

Arab Republic of Egypt, better known as Egypt, (Arabic: ???, Masr) is a country that most of its territory located in northeastern Africa. With an area of approximately 997,739 km² Egypt includes the Sinai Peninsula (considered part of Southwest Asia), while most of its territory is located in North Africa. Egypt borders Libya to the west, Sudan to the south, the Gaza Strip and Israel in the north-east. Border with the Mediterranean waters is through the Red Sea in the north and east.

The majority of Egypt’s population lived on the edge of the Nile (about 40,000 km ²). Most of the land is part of the Sahara desert that is rarely occupied.

Egypt is famous for its ancient civilization and some of the world’s most magnificent ancient monuments such as Pyramids of Giza, the Temple of Karnak and the Valley of the King and the Temple of Ramses. In Luxor, a city in the southern region, there are roughly an ancient artifact that covers about 65% of ancient artifacts worldwide. Today, Egypt is widely recognized as a center of culture and major politikal in the Arab region and the Middle East.
